Our Mission

From Our Leadership Team

Our leadership team is dedicated to ensuring the safety and well-being of our community through proactive threat assessment and management.

Casting a Wide Net

"When you're investigating a potential threat, or something still in the planning phase, the key is to gather as much information as possible. The wider the net you cast, the more opportunities you’ll have to mitigate the situation — and that's where I see tremendous value in this approach."

Ed Day
Rockland County Executive

Team Effort

"The whole purpose and the reason for the success of the team is really having everyone come together and being able to work together and figure avenues on how to assist the parties if need be."

Captain Omar Munoz
Rockland County Sheriff

Mental Health Matters

"The Rockland County Department of Mental Health plays a critical role as a member of the Threat Assessment Team because we do bring a clinical lens to discussion. We're able to use our expertise as mental health professionals to help identify what would motivate someone to commit an act of violence and help people identify early warning signs."
